Founded in 1916 American Ag credit has over 90 years of experience providing financial services to agricultural and rural customers.  They are part of the nationwide Farm credit system that is the largest single provider of credit to American agriculture. They have 32 branches located throughout the West and Mid-westerns states with their headquarters located in Santa Rosa California. Financial services provided by American AgCredit include production and mortgage financing, equipment and vehicle leasing, crop and life insurance, lines of credit, and the Young, Beginning and Small farmer program. In addition, the Association provides interestfree loans for qualifying 4H and FFA youth programs as well as scholarships for young people interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.

American Ag Credit is a co-op which means that any money earned is either put back into the business to allow them to continue to support their customer’s financial needs or it is returned to the producers in the form of cash back dividends. This system allows their customer’s to share in the success they have created. Not only is American Ag Credit dedicated to their members as a whole they take interest in supporting the local communities as well. This year they rode in the Tour de Cure bike ride put on the by the American Diabetes Association and between the two teams from Napa CA and Wichita KS they managed to raise $9250. They also sponsored another fundraiser for the Sonoma Section Future Farmers of America and the Sonoma County 4-H Foundation. These two groups are local agriculture youth organizations that foster leadership development, personal growth and career success in children from 8-21 years old. They are also one of Stanislaus Grown’s sustaining members and sponsored a portion of our Local Food & Farm Guide. American Ag Credit is much more than an agriculture lending service they are an association dedicated to serving their local producers and communities.
